Blacklist

blacklist.yml is every place a virtual spawner may not exist. Seven sections, each a plain list.

SectionHolds
worldsWorld names
regionsWorldGuard region ids
flagsWorldGuard flags
biomesBiome keys
entitiesMobs denied server wide, on top of mobs.yml
materialsMaterials a spawner may not touch
cuboidsRaw areas, no region plugin needed

The whole file is bypassed with aquavirtual.bypass.blacklist.

Scoping to one world

Any entry in any section takes a @world suffix.

blacklist.yml
regions: - spawn - "arena@world"

spawn applies to every world. arena@world only blocks the region named arena in the world called world.

Worlds

blacklist.yml
worlds: - example_world

What this list means depends on placement.world-mode in config.yml:

ModeThe list is
BLACKLISTThe worlds where spawners are denied
WHITELISTThe only worlds where spawners work

Flags

blacklist.yml
flags: - pvp - "mob-spawning=DENY"

A plain name blocks where the region resolves that flag to DENY. name=VALUE blocks when the flag resolves to exactly that value.

config.yml
worldguard: blacklist-flags-deny-only: true

Turning that off makes plain entries block on ALLOW too, which is what you want for a flag that should never sit near a spawner.

Materials

blacklist.yml
materials: - BEDROCK - BARRIER

Checked against both the target block and the one underneath it.

Cuboids

blacklist.yml
cuboids: - "example_world:100,0,100:200,120,200"

Written as world:x1,y1,z1:x2,y2,z2. Useful when you have no region plugin.

Editing in game

/aquavirtual blacklist add <section> <entry> /aquavirtual blacklist remove <section> <entry> /aquavirtual blacklist list [section]

Writes straight back into the file. list without a section prints all seven with a total.

WorldGuard

config.yml
worldguard: enabled: true flag-name: aquavirtual-spawners flag-default: ALLOW respect-build-flag: true blacklist-flags-deny-only: true require-region: false require-region-membership: true
KeyDefaultWhat it does
enabledtrueMaster switch. Ignored entirely without WorldGuard
flag-nameaquavirtual-spawnersName of the region flag the plugin registers
flag-defaultALLOWIts value inside regions that do not set it
respect-build-flagtrueAlso deny where the vanilla build flag denies you
blacklist-flags-deny-onlytrueWhether plain flag entries only block on DENY
require-regionfalseOnly allow placing inside a region, any region
require-region-membershiptrueRequire being member or owner of every region covering the block

flag-name and flag-default need a restart. WorldGuard only accepts new flags while the server is booting, so a reload cannot change them.

Once registered the flag works like any other:

/rg flag <region> aquavirtual-spawners deny

If another plugin already owns that name, AquaVirtual logs a warning and reuses the existing flag.

Why can’t I place here

/aquavirtual check

Runs the whole chain against the block you are looking at and names the first rule that stops you. The order is mob, biome, cuboid, ground, world, material, height, distance between spawners, distance from spawn, then the WorldGuard checks.
