AquaBook
Publish server news as written books. The newest one opens on join, players like it or mark it as read from a line at the bottom of the book, and every entry stays in a history menu.
Soft-depend: PlaceholderAPI
An entry
- Write a book in game and run
/aquabook create <id>, or write the file by hand. - The next time a player joins, the newest entry opens on their screen.
- The last page ends with a like, a read mark and a shortcut to the history.
/aquabook menulists every entry, new ones glowing until they are read.
Files
| File | Holds |
|---|---|
config.yml | Storage, Redis, the history menu, the book footer and what happens on join |
messages.yml | Every string, the menu items and the footer text |
news/*.yml | One file per entry, the file name is its id |
Two examples ship in news/: hi.yml, a short welcome, and template.yml, a commented entry that
shows every option. The template is hidden behind aquabook.admin and never opens on join.
Likes and read marks are saved in a database. With Redis they show up instantly on every server of a network.
