AquaLang
Every player picks a language and your plugins answer in it. AquaLang holds the translation files, remembers each player’s choice and hands the right string to any plugin that asks.
| Base command | /aqualang |
| Minecraft | 1.13+ |
| Folia | Supported |
| Storage | SQLite, MySQL or MariaDB |

What ships
21 languages registered out of the box, from English and Spanish to Japanese, Polish and Slovenian.
Each one is a folder under languages/ with its own .yml.
A player changes theirs with a shortcut command in their own language:
/lang english
/idioma spanish
/sprache germanAdd on menu
AquaLangAddon is a separate plugin that adds /aquaaddon, a GUI to pick a language by clicking a
flag. It is also the worked example of the API.
| Command | Permission |
|---|---|
/aquaaddon | aquaaddon.menu |
Aliases: /langmenu, /languagemenu.
Files
| File | Holds |
|---|---|
config.yml | Database, registered languages, shortcut commands, GitHub |
languages/<name>/<name>.yml | One file per language |
A first time player can get the language their Minecraft client is set to, so most never touch a
command. See auto-detect-client-locale.
